Swayambhoo Siva & Vishnu founded by Viluvamangalathu Swamikal. The devottees believe that the head of Vishnu lays in Thiruvallam, Middle at Trivandrum and the leg space at here in the temple.In the south side of the temple there is Kannuneer theertham and another paapanasam theertham is famous here. A foot print in the rock is believed as the print of Maha Vishnu. Many of the devotties who suffered with serious illness used to come and recovered their illness.
